Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) says it is taking its wireless technology up another notch with its unveiling of the next-generation AirPort Express.
The updated AirPort Express -- which retails for US$99 -- has 802.11n wireless technology and is five times more powerful than the previous model, the company says.
"From the small and portable AirPort Express to AirPort Extreme for workgroups of up to 50 users and the new Time Capsule for automated backups, Apple customers now have more great ways to extend their wireless networks with 802.11n," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of global product marketing.

Music Applications
The new AirPort Express also has Apple's AirTunes application, which enables users to stream iTunes music via computer from room to room. It has audio jacks for connection to a sound system or speakers. iTunes finds any remote speakers and helps the user select them from a pop-up list. AirTunes then streams the music from the computer to the AirPort device.
"I guess the best way to put it is that, essentially, this is a consumer electronics product, and that's all about one-upmanship," Yankee Group analyst Mike Goodman told MacNewsWorld. "If you're going to sell any type of consumer electronics product, you have to continue to innovate. Everybody is advancing, and you have to continue to evolve."
AirPort's user friendliness enhances the device's value, said Anne Thomas Manes, analyst with the Burton Group.
"They had the 802.11b, then the 802.11g and now the 802.11n; every generation is faster and more powerful," Manes told MacNewsWorld. "Actually, one thing I like about AirPort is it's pretty easy to use, manage and maintain. You plug it in, and it works."

Portability an Asset
The single-piece AirPort Express is small -- weighing 6.7 ounces -- and offers PC and Mac users the ability to share a single DSL (digital subscriber line) or cable broadband connection with as many as 10 simultaneous users, the company said, adding that users also can share a printer wirelessly that is connected to the USB (Universal Serial Bus) port. "The printer support is a nice feature," Manes commented.
Roger Kay, principal analyst at Endpoint Technologies, told MacNewsWorld that he likes the technology but, at least for music users, there are other alternatives.
"Most people find it easier to plug the thing in and run speakers from an iPod," Kay said. "It's at least a good technology and, at best, it's a niche capability that some users are going to find critical to what they do."
Pushing technology like the AirPort forward is something Apple has emphasized for a long time, Goodman noted. "It's marketing is very cutting edge, new, hip, powerful."

Security Features
The device has a number of security features as well. The company says AirPort Express protects data on networked computers with support for WiFi protected access, 128-bit WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) encryption and a built-in firewall.
The 802.11n is standard on Apple's entire line of AirPort base stations and Mac notebooks, the iMac, Apple TV and Time Capsule.
"It's most useful for streaming video," Kay said of the 802.11n. "Having a higher-speed wireless means you can move video because it's capable of moving full-motion video."

The Chemistry of Love.

Posted In: , , . By Premlal Kannur

Here iam not talking about Mother's love, Dad's loves or sister's loves, instead i am giving more thought about the Teenage Love.

If we look at the couples chatting through phone for hours, we also feel that how colorful is their life having galfriend or boyfriend. But is it the real love ? Defnitely not. Its something we can call it as "techno love". Why iam intersted in saying this, because i know many cases where the relationships like these fails.

Looking from outside it is some world of fantasy and colorful. But once we are in, we feel the real heat. As in our daily life we see many lovers chat for hours in mobile phones(once the battery goes down, they replaces with spare one and carry on) and what happens once they are married ? Are they going to talk like this for houres ? Not. I believe they are not going to discuss, a single minute. Then i should say that it is something crap. And hense waste of time.

There are some people in the world who used to chat for houres, thinking that the person at the other end is superlative. But once they meet each other, their chatting will come to an end.

Once my friend told me a story regarding his love. He used to chat 4 to 5 houres a day, and the aftermath was a Lady love. After 3 to 4 months they became good friends, and she told him that we should meet once. He also was excited because as he has not seen her before. And after fixing the date, she told him that they will meet at Ernakulam railway station, bit chatting and have some food and disperse. And he asked her, "how will i identify you ?" and she told that she will hold a rose in her hand and sit some where in the station.

And alas, the day also came. He reached the railway station on time, and by that time one train has just entered the terminal. And he saw a lot of people was getting out from the train, then a beautiful lady just drift infront of him. For a moment he thought if she were the friend, how colorful it would be. And all the passengers left the station. Later he saw one old women sitting in the long bench holding the rose. He was totally upset. And by thinking about the fate he just went near to her, asked her "shall v go, im your friend ?"

Then the old lady asked "what is happening here?". And she told "one lady came to me and said u shud give this rose to a guy who will come and contact you, and she had given me 100 Rupees. and if the guy is inviting you for lunch tell him that she is waiting outside". And the old lady pointed her finger to that women. With anxiety when he turned back, he saw the georgeous gal which he met before. And while has narrating this incident my friend was on the top of the world.

Adolf Hitler's U-boats dominated the seas during World War II, earning notoriety by sinking hundreds of Allied ships. Now, 60 years on, the Nazi dictator's 'lost fleet'—the resting place of three German submarines — has been found in the Black Sea off the coast of Turkey.

The hulls of the submarines — U19, U20 and U23 — were discovered by a team of researchers who established the boats' positions through research in German archives and by sonar studies of seabed, The Sunday Telegraph reported.

"It's one of the least well known stories of the war but one of the most interesting. It is a quite incredible story. To get to the Black Sea these boats had to be taken across the land, and once they got there they had no way out,” said Turkish marine engineer Seluk Kolay, who led the team.
The submarines were carried 2,000 miles over land to attack Russian ships during World War II, but scuttled as the war came to a close.

The vessels formed part of the 30th Flotilla of six U-boats, taken by road and river across Nazi-occupied Europe, from Germany's Baltic port at Kiel to Constanta, the Romanian Black Sea port. In two years, the fleet sank dozens of ships and lost three of their number to enemy action. But in August 1944, Romania switched sides and declared war on Germany, leaving the three remaining submarines stranded.

With no base and unable to sail home — the Bosporus and Dardanelles were closed to them due to Turkish neutrality — their captains were ordered to abandon the U-boats before rowing ashore and trying to make their way back. However, all the German crews were caught by the Turks.

A Few Thoughts On Google Knol

By Premlal Kannur

News of Google most recent project, Knol, came out late last Thursday without, as far as I can tell, much in the way of press pre-briefings. All the major publications were late to the story. Blogs hit it fast, but had nothing to go on other than the brief blog post put up by Google’s Udi Manber announcing the project. Our initial story on Knol is here.

From a product perspective, Knol is not much different than existing products like Squidoo and Hubpages. It’s a new knowledge base for authors. Anyone, eventually, will be able to write on any topic they choose. Google will provide authoring tools, store the information, allow others to comment and suggest edits, add ads with the author’s approval, and provide traffic via their search engine.

But Knol isn’t really aimed at Squidoo and Hubpages. It’s much more likely that Google is jealously eyeing the massive traffic that flows through its search engine to Wikipedia. As Nick Carr has noted, Wikipedia continues to climb and climb in search results for many top search terms.

A woman, in her mid 20s decides to usher into the new year by going to a party and pays the price by getting molested by a mob in spite of police presence and in full public view; she yells and screams for help as a few perverted men tear her dress below the waist;

even her companion at the party – a young man of almost same age – is unable to help her when in the course of being pulled and pushed, the woman falls down and the perverts get another chance to outrage her modesty for nearly ten minutes;
the watchful camera of a newspaper photographer catches the shameful incident and the matter is brought to light; the police initially pretends ignorant; as the story is published by the newspaper and followed up by many news channels, the police tries to wash off its hands saying that the victim had not come forward to lodge a complaint with them;
five men seen in the pictures clicked by the photographer have been detained for interrogation; the victim and her friend have not been identified yet (till I got my last updates on the news); a phone call to the newspaper office helped the newspaper reporters and the police team to search the Ghatkopar chawls to detain the five men;

This is what the historical Gateway of India witnessed on New Year’s Eve; The footage of the incident on various news channels stunned everyone as Mumbai is considered the safest city for women.

Mumbai of late is becoming more infamous than popular. While the Mumbai Bomb Blasts rocked the nation, this incident has shocked the nation.

Idea Star Singer is the leading shows in the Asianet which is telecast at 20hrs on week days. And there has been so many rumors spread across Kerala about its reality. One among this was Idea Star singer is over and Najim is the winner. And another was, program was shoot one month before and they are really cheating us.

There were so many mails sent in different groups. And people also thought the same that the program was shoot months before and they are cheating us. There were several hot debates during the program. But the situation has changed the company crew. Now nobody wants to talk about the program. The people working behind the program showed the viewers how the program is shoot and about the about the Controversy Elimination Round. The viewers were given the chance to see the Elimination Round in live. And the problems were solved. And the show is going on fine ...

But what about the SMS ?? Nobody is talking about the issue. Asianet has been earning ample amount of money through SMS votes. Is somebody sends the sms to Asianet for the Contestants what is really happening ??

when he/she sends a sms Rs. 4 is deducted from the account. from this

Rs.1----> Service providers (Vodafone/Airtel/BSNL et al.)
Rs.3----> To Asianet (with this money they can even give the billion $ prize amount)

Why the Asianet Management Team is not revealing the exact money receive through sms. So we should conclude there is some business gimmick involved in this. So i just wanna tell something to you that we should not vote for any single person unless they reveal about the exact deal.
